Titebond is one of the largest wood glue manufacturers.

Our wide selection of glues will definitely satisfy every woodworker, whether a hobbyist, professional, or even model maker.

Titebond glues are well suited for bonding furniture, musical instruments, mitre joints, wood or non-porous materials. Besides wood, some glues also bond more materials such as stone, plastic, glass, fabric, leather or ceramic.

The history of this brand began in 1935 with the Liquid Hide Glue which meant a genuine breakthrough in the woodworking industry. Unrivalled quality, performance and exquisite gluing results, these are the main characteristics of the Titebond glues. For more than 65 years this brand has been an icon of professional glues.

The glues can be split into two main categories based on the environment the joint is exposed to – outdoors or indoors.

Outdoors (exterior) - humid or wet environment depending on weather conditions. Or for some humid interiors such as bathroom and laundry room.

Indoors (interior) - dry environment. For example musical instruments, picture frames or finger joints when assembling wardrobes or cupboards.

Instant glues are a separate category. These cyanoacrylate glues are intended for interior use. They are not intended for outdoor use or where moisture is likely.

The glues also vary in both open time and assembly time.

Open time is a period during which can the glued parts be handled. The glue is not set yet.

Assembly time is the maximum period within which the glued parts must be clamped.

Setting time depends on the temperature and type of glue. Standard time for PVA glues to cure completely is 24 hours.
Instant glues cure completely after 8 hours.

Durability rating D1 to D4

Rating D1 to D4 stands for durability of joints in wet or dry environment. In other words, how much can the joint take in different conditions.
The higher the number “D”, the stronger and more water resistant will the joint be. This rating is covered by EN 204 (668503).

  • D1 - No water resistance. For indoor use.
  • D2 - Minimal water resistance. For indoor use.
  • D3 - Water resistance, but not permanent exposure to water. For indoor and outdoor use.
  • D4 - Waterproof. Most demanding outdoor use.
