Let us give you a tour of what each glue can do
Titebond is one of the largest wood glue manufacturers.
Their wide selection will surely satisfy any woodworker, whether a pro or a hobbyist, or perhaps a modeller. The Titebond glues are well suited for gluing furniture, musical instruments, mitre joints, woody plants as well as other non-porous materials. Aside from wood, certain glues also bond other industrial materials such as stone, plastic, glass, cloth, leather or ceramics.
The history of this brand began in 1935 with the Liquid Hide Glue which meant a genuine breakthrough in the woodworking industry. Unrivalled quality, performance and exquisite gluing results, these are the main characteristics of the Titebond glues. For more than 65 years this brand has been an icon of professional glues.
The glues are divided primarily according to whether they are to be used indoors or outdoors.
Indoors (interior) - dry environment.
Outdoors (exterior) - likeliness of humid or wet environment depending on weather conditions. Also for humid interiors such as bathrooms or laundry rooms.
The glues also differ according to their open time as well as their setting time.
Open time is the time during which it is still possible to manipulate the parts.
Close time is the maximum period until which the parts need to be secured by clamps.
Setting time depends on the temperature and type of glue – the standard time for total curing is 24 hours (4 h with Polyurethane).
